The big £105M EuroMillions Jackpot

Published by marylin123 on June 22nd, 2011 - in June 2011

This Friday is a massive £105 Million jackpot! So what would you do if you won it all?
Would you spend like there’s no tomorrow? Would you tell people or hide the real amount you won? Would you buy a jet, a mansion, a yacht or all of them?

If you didn’t spend any and put in into a bank account with 3% interest you would make £8630 a day or £3,150,000 a year in interest! Not a bad amount for not doing anything! If you spent just just the interest over the next 20 years you would have spent £63,000,000 without having to work another day in your life!

Just think of the cars, the holidays, the homes and the fun you could have with all that cash!
And remember to help fund this blog if you win!

Holland destroys Amsterdam tourism

Published by marylin123 on May 29th, 2011 - in May 2011

It’s been a very sad weekend for the world! The far right politicians have won out in banning foreigners from visiting Amsterdams famous coffee shops. In a forceful attempts to reduce Crime in Amsterdam they have made it illegal for non-doms to buy cannabis in the some 220 coffee shops there! It’s is rumoured that even for residents they will have to join and become a member of a coffee shop to purchase cannabis and each coffee shop will be limited to 1,500 members.

It’s important to remember that this isn’t expected to come in until the end of the year. There’s the worry that once this law is being enforced there’s no going back. For Holland this could spell doom. This law will give no reason for the millions of tourists that currently visit each year to go to the great city and as the whole of the Eurozone is still struggling with their finances from the recession this could spell trouble from which there is no recovery.

The Week so far.

So whats happened today…

… ah yes…

Dominique Strauss-Kahn the head of the IMF chief has been arrested and denied bail by the New York Judge because their worried he might pop back to France. He had been taken in to custody over the alleged sexual assault in the Times Square Sofitel hotel in New York. He was caught boarding a flight at JFK airport. A request for a $1million bail was refused over conserns he was boarding the flight to flee American for France. Before boarding he called the hotel in which the incident is said to have taken place to ask about the mobile phone that he left there. Tipped to be the next President of France I’m sure the country will be keeping an eye on this case, but only time will tell exactly how this will effect the IMF and the Precidential race in France.

My first post of the week!!!!

Published by marylin123 on May 12th, 2011 - in May 2011

Well this is my first post of the week and the newly designed site!!

So whats in the news at the moment?

First theres the 12 year old boy Chris Whitehead whos gone to school dressed in his younger sisters skirt! I like the idea behind what he’s doing, equality and all that, but, why did he come up with that idea! When I was his age I would have just worn shorts and hoped I got sent home and had the day off, I would have never even considered wearing a skirt (apart from that one time I did wear a skirt which I borrowed from a rather lovely friend of mine!). I think the story belongs on an episode of Waterloo Road and not a quiet village primary school!
